Gov. Little announces substantial grants for area CTE
schools.
It
was announced last Wednesday by Gov. Brad Little that Idaho’s secondary and
post-secondary career technical education programs would be awarded $8 million.
I’m very happy with the announcement of the governor. The students in the
welding program in Idaho Falls District 91 attend one of the three schools in
the district that will receive funds from the state. It’s really good that the
district will receive over $50,000 in grants as part of the Leading Idaho
initiative of the governor. It’s really very helpful to have this $80 million
approved during the September 1 special session in the additional in-demand
career training discussed. Read more.
